‘Drawing the Line’ at Galérie Mourlot

On Thursday, December 15, 2016, Galérie Mourlot presented "Drawing The Line: A conversation with artist Judith Seligson and with her paintings" led by the Frick Collection's Rika Burnham and hosted by ArtW Global founder Marjorie Martay.  

Rika Burnham has been a guest lecturer and conducted workshops at art museums worldwide. Perviously she was a museum educator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Her book, Teaching in the Art Museum: Interpretation as Experience, which she co-authored with Elliott Kai-Kee, won a PROSE award for best title in education of 2011 from the Association of American Publishers.

Artist Judith Seligson showed  fifty paintings at Galérie Mourlot in a solo exhibition called Drawing the Line. She also had a solo painting exhibition in the Washington, DC metro-area entitled A Gap Frame of Mind. In March, she was one of four geo-abstract artists at Art 3 Gallery in Bushwick. Ms. Seligson's other bodies of work include graphite text drawings, collage, pigment prints and academic talks and articles.
